1. The Mid-Atlantic region is preparing for what's being (called) potentially crippling snow storm. Up-to 2 foot of snow could hit Washington D.C over the weekend, with snowfall stretching up to East coast.
2. Pakistan is observing a national day of (mourning) on Thursday, for the 21 people killed when militants attacked a university. More than 20 others were injured in the attack.
3. Oregon governor says she is frustrated with the (federal) government's handling of the armed group occupied in National Wildlife Refugee. Governor Kate Brown says she wants the authority to end the siege in eastern Oregon immediately.
4. And the U.S navy launches its first carrier strike group partially powered by bio-fuel. The navy calls the warships "The Great Green Fleet" and says the bio-fuel costs just over $2 a gallon.
