1. The federal government says it will investigate how a Tesla car's auto pilot system worked during a crash in May in Florida. The man (died) when the car hit a truck. A Tesla statement says the car's camera didn't distinguish the truck's white side from the bright sky, so the brakes didn't activate.
2. Severe storm sent flash flooding hailing through Las Vegas on Thursday. Two teenage girls were stranded in a drainage ditch when the water (suddenly) surrounded them. Firefighters brought in trucks ladders to bring them safely back to land.
3. Authorities say a fire is (threatening) homes east of Portland, Oregon. A 20-miles stretch of interstate 84 near the Columbia river was closed.
4. And the Russian cargo spacecraft (undocked) from the international space station. It redocked less than a hour later. A new docking system was being tested.
