(voiceover) I had been waiting for so long to tell a person everything about me, I couldn't stop. I told Gloria Dump everything. And the whole time I was talkin', Gloria Dump was listening.

Opal: But the most important thing you should know about me...is that I don't have a mama.

Gloria: You don't have a mama.

Opal: Somethin' happened to her that made her go away, and I don't know what it was. Well, then the Dewberry boys... (voiceover) I could feel her listening with all her heart. And it felt good.
