Boston police say a doctor was shot inside the prestigious Brigham and Women's Hospital today. His wounds are life-threatening. Officers later found the (suspected) shooter in an exam room, dead from a self-inflicted wound.
The United Nations Secretary-General is calling for an immediate halt to fighting in Yemen. The Security Council held an (emergency) meeting Tuesday to discuss the situation. Violence has gripped Yemen's capital since Monday in what's been described as a rebel coup.
And crowds gathered in Granite City in Illinois to witness the demolition of an old bridge. It was the first of 3 (explosions) needed to bring down the old chain of Rocks Canal Bridge. A new one was opened last year.
