1. A white man who opened fire in a historically black church in Charleston (killing) nine people has been captured after an all-night manhunt. 21-year-old Dylann Storm Roof spent nearly an hour at a sprayer meeting inside Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church before killing six women and three men. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said the Justice Department has (begun) a hate crime investigation.
2. The House revived President Barack Obama's embattled (trade) agenda. But a potentially tough Senate battle awaits. The House voted 218-208 to grant Obama's fast-track authority to send Congress trade agreements it can reject or ratify has not (changed).
3. A forest fire that forced the evacuation of several Southern California campgrounds has grown to 1000 acres. The fire in the Barton Flats Area is just 5% contained.
4. Nearly fourteen years after the 911 attack, the massive $4 billion (transportation) hub at the World Trade Center site will be fully opened with a year time. Hundreds of thousands of people a day are expected to travel through and visit the facility when it is complete.
