1. Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert pleaded not (guilty) in a Chicago court Tuesday, answering the charges that he concealed millions in bank transactions. A person familiar with the allegations telling the Associated Press the money was being used to conceal (claims) he sexually molested someone decades ago.
2. In Northern NY, police chasing leads in (connection) with Saturday's escape of maximum-security prison. Authorities converging on a small town east of the Clinton Correctional Facility. Officials say two prisoners escaped over the weekend using power tools. Prison employees and contractors are being questioned.
3. An eight-year-old boy caught being smuggled in a (suitcase) from Africa to Europe reunited with his mother. The boy was discovered by Spanish authorities last month when the suitcase went through a scanner. His father remains in jail on abuse charges.
4. And in South Africa, vets working to save a rhino (mutilated) by poachers. The animal nearly died after its horns were removed to be sold on a black market. Veterinarians cleaned the wound, and secured a fiberglass shield to its face for protection.
