1. Top ranking officials in Bangladesh are refuting claims that the Islamic State group is behind the fatal attack on a restaurant. However, the police say they are (investigating) the possibility. 28 people were killed, including 6 attackers.
2. New York police say the firework that exploded in central park and seriously injured a 19-year old man's foot apparently was not (intended) to hurt people. Police described the device as an explosive experiment, designed to make life loud noise or flash. They say someone with knowledge of chemistry probably made it.
3. Police in the town of Avon, Ohio, west of Cleveland (apologized) to a man from United Arab Emirates who was detained on June, 29th. Town officials say a caller told police that Ahmed Al-Menhali had pledged support to the Islamic State group. Officials called the charge unfounded.
4. Reno, Nevada (authorities) say police shot and killed the man who tried to run over an officer and drive into a crowded chicken-wing festival. No Officers or bystanders were injured.
