Officials in Pakistan say militants wearing police (uniforms) have attacked the office of a senior government official in the city of Peshawar. They say at least five people are
dead and seven wounded. Authorities also say at least two of the (insurgents) were suicide bombers, while others opened fire on the compound’s security forces. There was no

Al-Qaeda's Iraqi wing has claimed responsibility for a series of car bomb blasts in the capital that killed at least 28 people and wounded more than 100 in (predominantly)

court ruled a closed hearing on Monday that Magnitsky who died more than three years ago while investigating official corruption for the investment fund Hermitage Capital will
stand trial on March 4 for tax evasion. Authorities (launched) the case against Magnistsky after he accused Russian tax officers of stealing $230 million in 2007. He was

Ecuador's leftist President Rafael Correa swept to re-election victory on Sunday, winning a third term by a wide margin. Mr. Correa won 57% of the vote compared with 24% for his
