"I’m just a great fan of Li Na and I used to go several times in China just for business. I used to live in China in Shanghai and in Beijing so I’m just very (fascinated) by Chinese people and especially by Chinese tennis so I'm very proud to be here to support Li Na."
Until now Li's best (performance) at Roland Garros was reaching the fourth round in 2009, where she lost to Maria Sharapova who she'll play in the the semi-finals. "We’re in the semis already so it doesn’t matter who is the opponent you always have to try your best tennis on the court, also you have to (play) against yourself, not only the (opponent)," said Li Na.
"I love them both, but I am Chinese. I love Li Na. She's going to win."
Neither Li Na, nor Sharapova has ever made the (final) here at Roland Garros. Having said that though, Sharapova has won all three of the other Grand Slams. They will both have a chance on Thursday in their semi-final to make history. And Li Na has shown she has a real (taste) for doing just that this season.
