1. President Obama could ask congress on Tuesday to authorize (military) force against Islamic State militants. It could be the first war voting in congress since the one that authorized the war in Iraq in 2002.
2. Some Alabama counties are (issuing) marriage licenses to same sex couple while other are not. Federal ruling striking down Alabama's same sex marriage ban went into effect on Monday. But the state's chief judge ordered the officials not to issue (licenses) to same sex couple.
3. The juvenile judge in suburb Cleveland is ordering a competency hearing for a 11 year-old girl. The girl is accused beating to death a 2 month old (infant )who was staying in her house.
4. And a 15-vehicle pileup on New Jersey turnpike Monday night left one person dead and several injured. The accident happened during a mix of (freezing) weather, rains and snow flurry.
