1. Police in Waco, Texas say the 9 people killed in a shootout were members of rival biker gangs. The fighting apparently started while the members of the five (separate) gangs were meeting in a restaurant.
2. Amtrak is resuming (service) between New York and Philadelphia this morning for the first time since last week's deadly crash. A speed-control system is also now in place for a northbound trains in the crash zone.
3. Iraq government said it believed about 500 people were killed over the past few days as Islamic State militants (seized) control of Ramadi. Thousands fled.
4. And more severe weather could be in store from Texas to Minnesota after a weekend filled with heavy rains and (fierce) winds.
