1. The As-Yet unknown holders of 3 winning tickets will split a huge 1.6 billion dollars Powerball Jackpot. But they aren't the only big winners. Lottery (officials) say last night's drawing also produced the eight $2 million winners, and 73 $1 million dollar winners nationwide.
2. Attackers set off a suicide bomb and exchanged gun fire outside a Starbucks Cafe in Indonesia's capital in a brazen (assault) Thursday. Backers of the Islamic State group claimed responsibility. 5 attackers and 2 bystanders, a Canadian and Indonesian died in the attack.
3. David Bowie's family says it is planning a (private) funeral for the late Rock Music icon. Bowie died Sunday at the age of 69 after battling cancer for 18 months.
4. Oscar nominations were announced Saturday. Leading the way is "The Revenant", with 12 nods, including best picture. There are 10 (nominations) for "Mad Max, fury road", and 7 for "The Martian". But none for that film's director Ridley Scott.
